PURPOSE

Currently in production

In this raw and intimate collection, each scene charts a journey not of defeat, but of awakening. When terminal cancer arrived uninvited, it brought with it an urgent clarity - a fierce reminder that time, however uncertain, is a currency best spent in service to others. These images trace the path from diagnosis to purpose, capturing moments where vulnerability transforms into strength, and personal struggle births a deeper calling to give back.

Through the lens, we witness how the weight of mortality became a catalyst for decisive action, proving that even in life's shortest chapters, we can write lasting meaning into the world. Each frame is both a testimony to life's fragility and an affirmation of its profound purpose when lived in service to something greater than ourselves.

Splendor in The Snow (Foundation Marketplace link)

Sedona is located in the interior chaparral, semi desert grassland, Great Basin conifer woodland biomes of northern Arizona. The first documented human presence in the Sedona area dates from between 11,500-9000 B.C.
It was not until 1995 that a Clovis projectile point discovered in Honanki revealed the presence of the Paleo-Indians, who were big game hunters. Around 9000 B.C., the pre-historic Archaic people appeared in the Verde Valley.
The Yavapai and Apache tribes were forcibly removed from the Verde Valley in 1876, to the San Carlos Indian Reservation, 180 miles (290 km) southeast. In the middle of winter, almost 1,500 people were marched to San Carlos.

Valley Of The Gods (Foundation Marketplace Link)

Valley of the Gods is a place that holds special meaning  to the Navajo. The towering sentinels, believed to be the spirits of ancient warriors set in stone, really do give you a sense of being up close and personal with an awesome power. In fact, the first time I drove through the valley, I’ll admit that I felt a little scared. It had just stopped raining and ignoring the warning sign about flooding, I entered the area. Twenty minutes later I was bogged, with no cell signal. I appeared to be the only one in the valley, and had the place to myself.

Repose(Objkt Marketplace link)

Over 200 scenes.

My first visit to this part of the country was in the early 1980’s. On vacation from England with my girlfriend and another couple from Paris, Sedona was a pitstop on our way from Scottsdale to Monument Valley. Although I’d seen a few photographs of the surrounding wilderness, nothing prepared me for the magical scene that unfurled as we approached this picturesque bohemian town of 5,000 people.

What I will never forget, was the immense sense of peace and harmony I felt as we hiked the pristine wilderness. Ancient pinion pine, juniper and oaks towered from canyon walls, sycamores lined the creeks growing in harmony with prickly pear, ocotillo, and yucca. The vegetation, wildlife and rock formations offered up the epitome of beauty, majesty, solitude and tranquility. A veritable oasis in the desert.

It wasn’t until a few years later that I learned of Sedona’s ancient indigenous roots and of the spiritual attraction to the landscape’s energy centers (or vortices). It was a far cry from my fast-paced life in the center of London. “I want to live here before I die”, I said to my friends as we headed back south to Scottsdale.

Closer to Heaven (Foundation Marketplace link)

About 100,000 acres of the Centennials are roadless. This includes National Forest lands, the Bureau of Land Management's Centennial Mountains Primitive Area, a portion of Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, state and private land, and part of a USDA Agricultural Research Station for sheep.

Around 326 vascular plant species have been identified in the Centennials, an unusual plant diversity for the Yellowstone region.

Grizzly bears inhabit the area, as nearly all species indigenous to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

Morocco Earthquake Relief

This photograph has been especially minted in support of the Morocco earthquake victims. Marrakech has a special place in my heart. Having visited there as a child in the early 70's, it gave me an entree into Moorish architecture, interior design, and a culture of which I've had a fondness for ever since.

American Genesis (Foundation Marketplace link)

The Clovis people, considered to be ancestors of most American Indigenous cultures, one lived, hunted and gathered here at Cedar Mesa.

This culture flourished until the late 1200's when the Pueblo people migrated out of the area. These people did not disappear. They live on as the Hopi, Zuni and Rio Grande Pueblo people of Arizona and New Mexico.

Many other tribes have ancestral affiliation to Cedar Mesa. Indigenous peoples consider the area sacred and implore us to use these lands with great care and respect.

Besides hundreds of ruins, mostly cliff dwellings, the Cedar Mesa region also has many petroglyphs and pictographs, dating from 3,000 B.C.
